Who we are

PC Revamp is the trading name of Paul Browne t/a PC Revamp, Badger Hill, York (VAT No. GB 260 2549 21). We are the data controller for information collected through this website and in our shop.

What we collect, and why

• Bookings & orders, your name, contact details, address (for collection services) and device details, so we can carry out and return your repair, take payment and send booking updates. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card details.
• Enquiries, whatever you put in an enquiry or contact form, plus your contact details, so we can reply.
• Visit counting, this site uses first-party, cookieless visit counting only. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising pixels, localStorage profiling or fingerprinting, so there is no cookie banner.

Lawful basis

We process booking and order data to perform a contract with you. We respond to enquiries, and keep basic records, under legitimate interests. Where we ever rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.

How long we keep it

Booking, order and invoice records are kept as long as needed for warranty support and legal/accounting obligations (typically 6 years for financial records). Enquiries that don't become jobs are deleted within 12 months.

Sharing

We share data only with the services that make the site work, payment processing (Stripe), hosting and databases (Google Firebase), and messaging providers for booking texts and emails. We never sell your data. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which involves your IP address being sent to Google.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to processing, or ask us to restrict it. Email or call 01904 373373 and we'll sort it. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).info@pc-revamp.com
